Gerald ‘Jerry’ Norbert May, 69

Gerald “Jerry” Norbert May, 69, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016.
He was born to Edward John and Gertrude (Frein) May in Austin, Minnesota, on Sept. 1, 1947. He grew up in Adams, Minnesota, and attended Adams High School. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army. Jerry met the love of his life, Mary Anderson, in 1969 and they married soon after and had two children. He moved his family to Texas after a downturn at the Hormel Packing Company. He worked for 17 years as the Manager at Ingram Ready Mix Concrete Plant in Boerne, Texas. Jerry also worked as an aircraft structural mechanic. He eventually began working as an armored car fabricator and retired in 2011. In his retirement, he enjoyed mowing his yard. He also loved tinkering in his garage and working with his tractors.
Jerry is preceded in death by both parents and his brother, Kevin May. He is survived by his wife, Mary Anderson; his son, Jeffrey David May; his daughter, Jennifer Rohm and her husband Terry; and two grandchildren, Jaden David May and Autumn Nicole May. He is also survived by his brother, Danny May of Adams of Minnesota; and five sisters, Sue May of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Nancy Brehmer of Rochester, Minnesota, Cindy Schneider of Elkton, Minnesota, LuAnn Stroup of Rose Creek, Minnesota, and Anne Halbach of Adams, Minnesota.
Visitation was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home in Boerne, Texas.
