A Minneapolis man was arrested on two Mower County warrants following an alleged domestic incident Sunday in the 1400 block of Eighth Avenue Northwest in Austin.

Delecta Watkins, 25, is facing a possible charge of domestic assault/fear of causing bodily harm.

The suspect was jailed on two warrants  for first-degree assault and third-degree assault. Both were unrelated to Sunday’s incident,

Police were notified of a 911 hangup call at 5:58 a.m. Sunday from the address. Before the call ended, the caller alleged that the suspect was threatening her. Later information showed the two had a child and the child lived with the mother at the address. Officers did not note any injuries. The woman said she was fearful after the suspect allegedly became angry and upset.

Officers arrived at the address and after a search of the property, found the suspect in a bedroom. He was taken into custody without incident and jailed on the active warrants, said Police Chief Brian Krueger.
