Still super: GM football wins 35-0 in state semis; Superlarks will play for 4th straight title next week

MINNEAPOLIS — The Grand Meadow football team is one step closer to the its fourth straight state title
The GM football team beat Waubun 35-0 in the Minnesota Class Nine Man Football State Semifinals Friday morning at US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The Superlarks will play Cleveland in the nine man title game at 10 a.m. next Friday.
The Superlarks got on the board early when Brenn Olson threw a 55-yard touchdown to Jacob Oehlke. Then with time running out in the first half, Christophor Bain caught a 17-yard catch on fourth and nine before he capped a scoring drive with a 7-yard TD run.
Bain would add a 62-yard TD run in the third quarter to put GM up 21-0 and a 15-yard run in the fourth to make it 28-0.
Zach Myhre put the icing on the win with a 9-yard run to make it 35-0 with 10 minutes to go.
