Tis the season.
The Mower County Senior Center is buzzing with Christmas. This week, at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, we have Johnny Bird coming for his Christmas concert.
Most of you have heard Johnny, but this is his Christmas concert and you will want to be here. This is sponsored by the Cedars of Austin so as a special treat Chef Jack will be serving up a holiday social buffet of food with his Holiday Honey Toddy.
There will be prizes given away. Please sign up by stopping by the front desk or calling 507-433-2370. Space is limited so make sure you sign up. There will be a free will donation. All donations go to the Mower County Senior Center.
At noon on Friday we are having our traditional Christmas dinner. This year we are having molasses glazed ham steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, yams, roll and dessert. Members are $8.50 non-members are $9.50. We are having Christmas entertainment. Don’t forget to wear your Christmas best and we will take your Christmas pictures for you. We will include one picture with your dinner. Please sign up by stopping by the front desk or calling 433-2370. Everyone is welcome! Hope to see you there.
You may not be old now, but if you’re lucky, one day you will be. We look forward to seeing you at our many programs at the Senior Center. Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Don’t forget Tuesday is hotdish day. We are having chicken alfredo hotdish for only $2. You are always welcome at the center. See you here!
