While I had the opportunity to photograph so much this year, this image of the Style Lounge’s own Haley Laack was taken as part of a larger project with the talented ladies at the Style Lounge and ranks as my favorite. Stylist Sarah Wolfe gave Haley a striking Day of the Dead look. So many photos from this shoot I wanted to include, only to be hemmed in by space. You can see the whole shoot in the July-August edition of Austin Living Magazine.
I consider myself a very lucky photographer, getting the chance to photograph a wide variety of things throughout the year.
Some of these photos were in the Austin Daily Herald, some in Austin Living and even possibly a couple that didn’t make any kind of publication.
The list of my favorite images from 2016 isn’t just about showcasing those images, though. It’s also a chance to share my favorite moments with so many great people throughout our area. It was another fun year of showcasing the people of Austin.
