Making and sticking to those resolutions

Published 7:48 am Sunday, January 8, 2017

When the holiday season comes to an end and all the festivities are over, you’re left with a new year. For some, that may mean jump-starting an exercise regimen or eating well.

For others, it may mean a commitment to spending more quality time with family and friends. Another alternative might be to simply contemplate where you’ve reached in life so far. Whatever your preferred approach to the New Year, it’s nice to start feeling refreshed and focused, ready to get back into things you’re working on or to get started on new things.

If you have made your New Year’s resolutions and this year you want to stick to them let us help. The Mower County Senior Center works hard to have something available for everyone.

Or if new friends are your resolution, this is the best place to look. Our coffee shop is inviting and there is always a friendly face there for you to talk to. Many of the daily programs meet after in the coffee shop to get to know each other.

Make your resolution to come to the senior center. If we don’t offer anything that interest you, tell us your hobby or something you find fun and we will make it happen.

You may not be old now, but if you’re lucky, one day you will be. We look forward to seeing you at our many programs at the senior center.

Don’t forget our coffee shop where every day you can have homemade soup for $1 and sandwich for 50 cents. Don’t forget Tuesday is hotdish day. We are having pizza pasta skillet casserole for only $2.
