A 75-year-old Brownsdale man suffering from hypothermia was rescued from a snowbank when a sanitation worker spotted him on Tuesday morning.
Roger Slindee, 76, apparently had an adverse reaction to medication, according to Mower County Sheriff Teresa Amazi, and was found about a quarter mile west of his rural Brownsdale home about 11 a.m.
The sanitation worker spotted him sitting in a snow bank on the side of the road on 260th Street.
He stopped and picked him up to return the man to his home.
The worker, who was not identified, reported that he then decided to call an ambulance when he realized the man needed medical attention.
Amazi said Slindee was still hospitalized in Rochester on Wednesday morning.
