The Austin girls hockey team snapped a three-game losing streak when it beat Albert Lea (3-18 overall, 2-10 Big Nine) 5-1 on the road Saturday.

Sophomore Jaiden Schuster had a hat trick for the Packers (6-16 overall, 5-12 Big Nine) and Lily Holtz and Alexis Stich each had one goal. Jordyn McCormack had three assists and Kylee Hanlon had two assists.

Faith Sayles stopped all 18 shots she saw for the Packers and Cassity Nangle stopped four of five shots in relief for Austin.
