Austin girls hockey team beats Winona

The Austin girls hockey team beat Winona (0-22-1 overall, 0-13-1 Big Nine) 4-1 on the road Thursday.
Austin took a 2-0 lead in the first period when Lily Holtz scored a short handed goal and Myia Hoium scored a goal. Jaiden Schuster and Erin Bickler added second period goals for the Packers (7-17 overall, 6-13 Big Nine).
Sam Grunewald, Jordyn McCormack, Hannah McMasters and Bickler all had one assist.
Faith Sayles had 16 saves in the win for Austin.
