The Mower County Senior Center and Willow Cove are teaming up at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, for a wooden sign-painting class.

There will be several stencil options to choose from. The charge will be $28 for the class which includes all of the art supplies. Adult beverages will be available for purchase while you are working on your project.

History

John Haymond from the Historical Society will be here on at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, presenting “Uses and Abuses of History”

This talk will be about how history has been used to advance political agendas, the ways in which legends take root and become thought of as history, and the modern rise of “pseudohistory.”
