We will honor all of our Friends and Volunteers with a special evening of awards, dessert and a program by our new 2017 intern Savanna Dahl.
Enjoy dessert with a slice of Perkins pie, ice cream and refreshments.
Savanna’s program is Conservation Activism through Art.
There are seemingly endless environmental issues that we are faced with every day: climate change, water quality, pollution, land preservation, and endangered and invasive species. The list goes on.
Combating these issues usually encompasses target audiences, marketing, inciting engagement, and figuring out what aspect to focus on first. Depending on the style and marketing techniques, art can be a very effective way to tackle this.
Join Savanna as she discusses the who, what, where, why, when, and how’s of conservation activism through art and what we can do here at the nature center.
Please RSVP for this special evening by 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, by calling 507-437-7519 or email info@hormelnaturecenter.org.
