Stephen M. Nordeen, 64

Stephen M. Nordeen, 64, of Adams, Minnesota, died Sunday, March 26, 2017, in his home.

Steve was born in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to Esther (Lundmark) and Albert Nordeen. He married Phyllis (Selbrade) McCoy on April 7, 1984, at Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul, Minnesota. Steve and Phyllis were residents of the small town of Adams and loved being away from the big city. He was a man of many talents and several professions. Steve loved the outdoors and was passionate in his pursuit of knowledge. He had a way of seeing the humor in life and loved telling jokes to his grandchildren.

Steve is survived by his wife of 32 years, Phyllis Nordeen; son, Joshua Nordeen (Becky); step-sons, Sean McCoy (Marcia) and Michael McCoy; brothers, Craig Nordeen (Marjorie) and Robert Nordeen (Pam); nine grandchildren; and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by step-son Christopher McCoy; and parents, Albert and Esther.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2017, at the Owatonna VFW (135 Oakdale St, Owatonna, Minnesota).
