Ready for the first trip of the travel season
Published 7:01 am Sunday, April 2, 2017
With warmer, sunny days ahead, we are ready to begin our season of travel.
The Capitol awe is back. How long has it been since you have visited our state’s Capitol in St Paul? Or perhaps you never had the opportunity to do so.
We are excited to visit the recently completed $310 million renovation project.
So,whats different?
Throughout the building over 600 pieces of historic furniture trace back to the original Capitol’s architecture. Over 40,000 square feet is available in which the public can assemble. There’s new carpet matching the old patterns and bright painted areas along with new lighting projects and even the golden horses that you see as you drive by will be noticeable.
After our visit there, plans are set to learn more about St. Paul. A step-on guide will join us on a St. Paul gangster tour.
Upcoming trips
•April 18: 7 a.m. we will be taking a motor coach tour to St. Paul. Please note the earlier time. Return time will be approximately 5:45 p.m. departing from the south side of Wal-Mart. This motor coach is filled and payment is due by April 4.
Because of the great amount of interest in this trip, we have arranged for another trip there.
•April 24: Will be the same as the April 18 trip, with a list already growing. You need not be a member to join us. This fee is due by April 11.
•May 11-12: We are excited to host two motor coach trips to one of our favorite venues, The Fireside Dinner Theatre in Wisconsin for “South Pacific,” A Rodgers and Hammerstein production of love, and heroism. Told with humor and passion featuring such unforgettable songs as “Some Enchanted Evening” and “Bali Hai.” This theater has also gone through a major renovation project, and we are excited to see the Far East design which lets guests sit in the non-traditional long banquet settings. A fabulous themed meal will be served prior to the production.
Lodging will be next door for our convenience. This is only one of the great line-up of theater productions we have chosen for our trips this year. This theater and dinning experience is like no other in our immediate area. This trip has availability and fee is due by April 11.
•Nov. 26-Dec. 1: The schedule for those signed for our Christmas in Nashville is now available. You may stop by our office or contact us to be sent to you.
