The Austin tennis team opened its season with a 4-3 win over Faribault at Neveln tennis courts Tuesday.

The Packers (1-0 overall, 1-0 Big Nine) swept the doubles matches and Josh Brehmer won the No. 2 singles match for Austin.

I was pleased with the play of our doubles teams with as little practice as they have had together,” Austin head coach Jeff Anderson said. “I felt they got stronger as the matches went along.  Josh Brehmer had a good win against a very good athlete.  He played smart and within his game.”
