Helen Juanita Wright, 95

Helen Juanita Wright, 95, of Grand Meadow, Minnesota, passed away on April 23, 2017, at Grand Meadow Healthcare Center.

“Juanita” was born June 22, 1921, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Claude and Edna (Nasers) Weaver, the third of 10 children. On Sept. 12, 1943, she was united in marriage to Norman Wright. They lived in Grand Meadow all their lives, except from 1946-1949 when they lived in Ward Hill, Massachusetts. Juanita and Norman were blessed with five children. She was a helpmate to her husband Norman, farming in Grand Meadow.  In addition to raising her five children, she also worked at Farmer’s Produce in Grand Meadow and Libby’s in Rochester, Minnesota. She greatly enjoyed spending time with family, playing cards, especially 500, raising a large garden, crocheting, and raising many dogs in her kennels.

She is survived by four sons, Nolan (Marilyn) of Eagle Lake, Minnesota, Morgan (JoAnn) of Butler, Tennessee, Robin (Ruth) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ken (Jeanne) of Grand Meadow; daughter, Kathryn Wright of Chatfield, Minnesota; 11 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 12 step-great grandchildren; sister, Margey Hillman; brothers, Harley, Harvey, and Kenneth Weaver; brother-in-law, Bob Aaby; and sister-in-law, Mavis Weaver; and many nieces and nephews.

Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1986; brothers, Virgil, Ernest, and Harold; and sisters, Bernice and Betty.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at United Church in Grand Meadow, Minnesota, with Pastor Jon Marburger officiating. Burial will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at United Church Grand Meadow, with visitation continuing one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.
