Two arrested for robbery with a gun

Two Austin teenagers were arrested Saturday after they allegedly robbed an acquaintance of cash, according to Austin police.
Amon Manning Jr., 18, is being held in Mower County Jail pending formal charges. A 17-year-old juvenile, unidentified, was transported to the Minnesota Correctional Facility at Red Wing.
According to the complaint filed by the 17-year-old victim, the robbery occurred at 4:27 p.m. while he was walking down West Oakland Avenue. He said he was approached by the two, who he knew, when they allegedly demanded any money that he had. He said the 18-year-old was carrying a black handgun. The victim said he turned over all his cash. After he handed the pair his money, the two alleged robbers ran away.
An Austin officer knew the address of one of the pair and officers went to the 400 block of Ninth Street Northeast. There they apprehended the two teens.
The amount of cash was not disclosed.
