Todd Michael Benner, 46, of Austin, Minnesota died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Hospital Rochester, Saint Marys Campus.

Todd was born Aug. 8, 1970, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of Charles and Joyce (Majerus) Benner. He attended school in Austin at Neveln, Ellis and Austin High School, graduating in 1988. After graduation, Todd worked for several companies in Austin, including, QPP, Johnson Floral, Smyth Printing and most recently Hormel Foods.

He loved to go fishing and listen to music. Todd’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Charles and Joyce Benner of Austin; a brother, Troy Benner of Austin; his long-time girlfriend, Dawn Strobel of Austin; many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Rae “Rocky” Benner on Sept. 23, 1992; and his grandparents, Lester and LaVon Benner and Bernard and Evelyn Majerus.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Newry Township, Freeborn County, Minnesota, with Lt. David Amick officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin, Minnesota. Memorials should be directed to the family. A time of fellowship will follow the burial at the Worlein Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
