U.S. Rep. Tim Walz (D-Minnesota) will meet hold a roundtable conversation with Albert Lea officials and interested citizens to hear concerns about Mayo Clinic Health System’s consolidation decision at noon on Monday, July 31, in Albert Lea City Hall.
Mayo decided in June to close certain hospital services at its Albert Lea facility, including overnight hospitalization, inpatient care for major surgeries, ICU and childbirth. Mayo plans to consolidate these services on its Austin campus.
The discussion is open to the public; however, space is limited.
