The Austin Greyhounds had their season come to an end when they lost the second game of a three-game Section 1B series to Dundas 6-1 in Marcusen Park Sunday.
The Dukes will advance to the Class B state tournament.
“Congrats to Dundas as they’ll likely make a state tourney run,” Hounds manager John Frein said.
Tyler Nelson went two-for-four in the loss for the Hounds and Zach Schara pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
“It was a fun season for the Hounds and a good learning year for some of our young guys,” Frein said. “We’ll be better next year. Thanks to the fans and volunteers for following and supporting us this year. Town ball is a rich tradition in Austin and we’re proud to be a part of it.”
