Police fundraiser for K-9 program is Aug. 27

The Austin Police Department will be holding a K-9 fundraiser from 3-6 p.m. on Aug. 27 at Bandshell Park.
“It helps defer the cost of our K-9 program,” said Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger.
Last year’s fundraiser raised more than $3,500. Police will ask for a free will offering during this year’s event. It will feature K-9 demonstrations from
4-5 p.m. Guests will be served hot dogs, chips and beverages.
This year’s fundraiser is sponsored by Willow Pet Hospital, Frito Lay, Hormel Foods, Double K Specialty, Hy-Vee and All Fur Dogs.
