Austin volleyball team gets a win at Rochester tournament

The Austin volleyball team picked up its first win of the season as it went 1-3 at the Rochester Tournament Saturday.
The Packers (1-4 overall) picked up a 25-17, 25-18 win over Chatfield, they lost to Byron 25-11, 25-13, they lost to Medford 25-22, 25-16 and they lost to Blooming Prairie 25-11, 25-13.
Teddi Eisenberg had nine kills for Austin and Lauryn Petersen and Elyse Hebrink each had eight kills.
“We played well at times,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “We are running plays which is a big transition for us. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t, but we will keep on working at it. We need to continue move our feet and work at
blocking. I have a great group of girls that are willing to work hard and I am happy with that.”
Austin will play at BP 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
