Riverland Community College, Austin, recently added an on-campus organization: Riverland Collegiate Future Farmers of America/Post-Secondary Agricultural Opportunities club, or the RCFFA/PAS.

To kick things off, RCFFA/PAS will be hosting a meeting and ice cream social, presented by the Austin HyVee, at 4 p.m. today at the Austin West Building, AG115, Center for Agricultural and Food Science Technology.

During the meeting, club advisors and advisory board members will:

• Introduce Riverland CFFA/PAS;

• Establish a RCFFA/PAS Membership Group; and

• Participate in activities such as flying a drone, using a Combine simulator, hay bale toss/carry contests, etc.

Anyone interested in science and agriculture and getting involved is welcome to attend.
