The Southland football team wasn’t able to get its offense going as it lost to Fillmore Central (3-2 overall) 38-7 on the road Friday.

The game was scoreless after the first quarter, but the Falcons took a 21-0 lead in the second quarter. Southland committed three turnovers in the loss.

“That was the most physical team we’ve played all year by far,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “We just got out-hit. I believe that’s the best team we’ve faced all year. They’re big and they’re fast.”

Jared Landherr hauled in a 38-yard TD pass from Carl Mueller for the only touchdown of the night for the Rebels (2-3 overall).
