Dr. Tyler S. Oesterle will make a presentation on understanding substance addiction from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Austin Public Library. He will talk about the biological changes and treatment strategies.

Oesterle joined Mayo Clinic in 2016 and holds the academic rank of instructor in psychiatry at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. His clinical interest includes rural mental health with a focus on child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. His research focuses on adolescent addiction.
