The Riverland Community College volleyball team swept the season series from Anoka-Ramsey when it beat the Rams 25-21, 25-21, 23-25, 25-6 on the road Wednesday.
The Blue Devils (3-14 overall, 3-8 MCAC) were able to close out the match on a high note after playing some close games early on.
“Tonight we were hot and cold,” RCC head coach Helen Jahr said. “We had a lot of momentum in the last game and we played how we should play. I think we played a little bit down to their level in the other games.”
LeRoy-Ostrander grad Sam Siskow had 23 kills and 29 digs for the Blue Devils and Owatonna grad Ellie Buck had 15 kills and 25 digs. Siskow was recently named MCAC hitter of the week for her career-high 33 kills in a loss to RCTC last week.
Riverland stats: Sam Siskow, 23 kills, 4 blocks, 29 digs; Ellie Buck, 15 kills, 6 ace serves, 25 digs; Steph Hollicky, 4 ace serves; Marissa Hart, 37 set assists
