Are you seeking gifts for the antique lover in your life? Then look no further than the Vintage Holiday and Antiques Sale going on this weekend at the Mower County Historical Society.
This event, the first of its kind hosted by the MCHS, will feature vintage and antique items donated by the community and members of the MCHS Board of Directors.
“There are a lot of items and at good prices, running from 75 cents to $75,” said Barbara Lewis, a MCHS board member and chairwoman of the special events committee.
Sale items will include:
• lighted Christmas trees, snowmen, Department 56 lighted Christmas villages, and Halloween items;
• a phonograph, records and music boxes;
• antique pictures, jewelry, towels, afghans and suitcases;
• collectible glasses, cookie jars and Copenhagen, Denmark, plates;
• antique dolls, a set of Italian orchestra clowns and more.
All proceeds from the sale will go toward helping the Mower County Historical Society.
“This is a fundraiser, not a rummage sale,” Lewis said.
Lewis said visitors will be able to purchase coffee and rolls to eat and drink while they shop.
“I’m excited about this and I hope people will come,” she said.
The Vintage Holiday and Antiques Sale will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Pioneer Building of the Mower County Historical Society. Parking and admission is free.
