MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota junior forward Jordan Murphy is Big Ten Player of the Week for the third consecutive week.
Murphy is only the second Gopher to win the award three times in a single season, joining Quincy Lewis from the 1998-99 season.
Murphy continued his streak of double-doubles in wins last week, extending it to seven. The San Antonio, Texas, native scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds Tuesday against Alabama A&M. He scored a team-high 16 points and added 11 rebounds in Minnesota’s 69-51 win over Massachusetts Friday.
