Charlene M. Burton, 68, of Walker, Minnesota, formerly of Rochester, Minnesota, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at CentraCare Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, surrounded by family.
Char was born Oct. 5, 1949, in Langdon, North Dakota, to Charles and Lois (Barker) MacLachlan. On Dec. 18, 1970, she married Stephen Burton. They lived in Rochester, where they raised their two children, before moving to Walker to Leech Lake in 1995, where they enjoyed their retirement.
Char enjoyed pontoon rides and fishing on the lake, playing bingo with her husband and friends, playing computer games and spending time with her grandsons.
Char is survived by her husband, Steve, and her daughter and son-in-law, Mindie and Chris Mahon; and two grandsons, Zackary and Nickolas, of Rochester; a sister, Bobbie Greenlee, of Rose Creek, Minnesota; a nephew, Heath Greenlee (Darcy Wytaske) and their two sons, of Austin, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jesse Greenlee; nephew, Chris Greenlee; and two brothers, Chuck and Denny.
