Park and Rec fees rise for next year

Fees for facility rentals and activities through the Park and Recreation Department are set to go up in 2018. Park and Recreation Director Kim Underwood cited increases in program expenses as the reason.
According to Underwood, pavilion rentals will increase by $10, from $40 to $50. Rental of the Izaak Walton Cabin will go up $30, from $170 to $200.
Swimming lessons and the price of a swim pass will also go up by $10.
Prices for pavilion rentals, swimming lessons and a swim pass have not been increased since 2012, according to Underwood. The rental price of the Izaak Walton Cabin has not been increased since 2007.
