Officers responded to a call on July 19 of a bad check at Kenny’s Oak Grill. The owner gave the police an “American Express” check for $62 given to him by two children who came in to pay for food. The owner told police he’d received an unauthorized check from the same account before.

Police confronted Ambriz in a vehicle in the parking lot. She gave up a checkbook and was also in possession of a methamphetamine pipe.
