- The grade boys Austin Youth Basketball eighth grade team took home the championship trophy at the Red Wing Tournament this past Sunday. Austin picked up wins over Stewartville (71-17), Eau Claire, Wisconsin (45-25) and Plainview (64-44). The Austin Youth Basketball 6th grade team won the Clear Lake, Iowa Jingle Jam Tournament recently. The team is coached by Brandon Lawhead coach and it includes William Lawhead, Mission Duop, Jackson Clausman, Ezra Boverhuis, Shelton McIntosh, Caden Soucek, Ryan Schmeichel, and Elijah Kline.
