Mark Charles Hinsch, 62

Mark Charles Hinsch, 62, of Waltham, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7, 2018, at Mayo Hospitals – Saint Marys Campus, in Rochester, Minnesota, surrounded by family and friends.

Mark was born on Aug. 29, 1955, the son of Charles and Shirley (Finck) Hinsch in Dodge Center, Minnesota. He attended Hayfield High School and Rochester Vo-Tech, earning a degree in building utilities maintenance. Mark was united in marriage to Susan Doty on May 17, 1975, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sargeant, Minnesota.

He had worked at Pace Dairy in Rochester, IFP in Oslo, Minnesota, Lakeside Foods in Owatonna, Minnesota, and Bellisio Foods in Austin, Minnesota.

Mark was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.      

He was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. He enjoyed watching sports, with special interest in the Minnesota Gophers. Most importantly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and being active in his grandchildren’s lives.

Mark is survived by his wife, Susan Hinsch, Waltham; children, David (Pauline) Hinsch, Center City, Minnesota, Lori (Gene) Faulhaber, Hayfield, Minnesota, Derrek (Heather) Hinsch, Mankato, Minnesota, and Lindsey (Joshua) Jordan, Arlington, Tennessee; mother, Shirley Hinsch, Hayfield; seven grandchildren, Hannah, Aurora, Cayden, Meredith, Cora, Paisley and Clayton; four sisters, Mary Jean (Ken) Cleveland, Spring Valley, Minnesota, Wanda (Darrell) Boley, Dexter, Minnesota, Nancy (David) Prins, Hayfield, and Carla (David) Miner, Blooming Prairie, Minnesota; two brothers, Gordon (Ellen) Hinsch and Miles (Theresa Splittstoesser) Hinsch, both of Rochester.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Czaplewski Family Funeral Home, 501 Second St. NW in Hayfield, and one hour before the service at the church on Friday. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, at the Cornerstone Church, 1403 First Ave. SW in Austin, with Pastor David Simerson officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sargeant, Minnesota.
