Kennedy scores 19 as Southland girls top Rushford-Peterson

The Southland girls basketball team used a second half surge to get past Rushford-Peterson (3-13 overall, 0-11 Three Rivers) 58-54 in Rushford Friday.
McKendry Kennedy had a big second half for the Rebels (3-10 overall, 3-8 Three Rivers) as she finished with a 19 points.
“We just played a little better on both sides of the ball in the second half,” Southland head coach Dean Bendtsen said. “I think we figured out that Rushford wasn’t going to step out of our way and hand it to us.”
