STORM AFTERMATH: Southland, Grand Meadow schools 2-hours late

The winter storm that brought heavy snow and blizzard conditions to parts of Iowa and Minnesota on Monday, Jan. 22, was milder in Mower County than its northern neighbors.
The preliminary snow totals from the National Weather Service show 5.5 inches of snow accumulation in Austin while in West Concord in Dodge County received 14 inches and and Kasson received 13.5. In Olmstead County, Byron recieved 12 inches and Rochester 10.5 inches.
Austin schools returned to a regular class schedule today after closing on Monday.
The Grand Meadow and Southland school districts will start two hours late today
