Austin gets 6.4 inches of snow from storm

The winter storm that brought heavy snow and blizzard conditions to parts of Iowa and Minnesota on Monday, Jan. 22, was milder in Mower County than its northern neighbors.

The 24-hour snow totals from the National Weather Service, as of 7 a.m. Tuesday showed 6.4 inches of snow accumulation in Austin while West Concord in Dodge County received 14 inches and and Kasson received 11.5.

Below are the revised snow totals provided by the National Weather Service as of 11 a.m. Tuesday.
