Jail Administrator

The Mower County Sheriff’s Department has an opening for a full-time Jail Administrator.

Salary Range is $57,471.02 – $79,310.61 annually dependent upon education and experience (full-time, non-union position).

The Jail Administrator has full supervisory responsibility over the activities of all jail personnel.

The classification is responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring all jail programs, jail security, inmate security, and fiscal operations of the jail.

It is the responsibility of this position to assure department, state, and County policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to and in compliance. Successful candidate should have a combination of work experience and education sufficient to perform the duties of Jail Administrator.

Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in corrections and/or 3-5 years of jail experience is preferred.
