An Austin Utilities crew made temporary repairs to a distribution pole that was struck by a vehicle Monday night.

According to Austin Utilities Director Mark Nibaur, the utility received a call from the Mower County Law Enforcement Center at 10:30 p.m. on Monday concerning a vehicle striking a distribution pole on County Highway 16 (11th Street Northeast) near 14th Street Northeast, around Todd Park. When the Austin Utilities crew arrived, the vehicle had left the scene, but tire tracks could be seen in the snow.

The crew made temporary repairs to the pole, which will be replaced at a later date.

No power outages were reported.
