People line up to receive the ashen cross on their forehead as Our Savior’s Lutheran Church celebrated Ash Wednesday, the start of the Lenton season.
Parishioners at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church as well as several other houses of worship celebrated the beginning of the Lenton season with Ash Wednesday services. At Our Savior’s the sign of ashes was put on the heads of worshippers by confirmation students.
