The No. 7 seeded Austin boys hockey team had its season and as it lost 2-0 to No. 2 Mankato East (14-10-2 overall) in a Section 1A quarterfinal on the road Thursday.

East scored one goal in the first period and one goal in the second period to take the lead.

Austin finished the season with a record of 8-18-1 overall.
