An Austin woman is facing possible assault charges after allegedly knocking out another woman during a fight on Sunday night in Rochester.

According to Rochester Police Capt. John Sherwin, police were called on a report of two women fighting over a cell phone at 10:20 p.m. in the 800 block of 21st Avenue Southeast.

A 23-year-old woman, also from Austin, was found unconscious with blood dripping from her mouth. The victim had a laceration inside her mouth and chipped teeth. She was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System, Saint Marys Campus, and regained consciousness.

Odongonga Oballa, 20, of Austin was arrested for the alleged assault. She is currently facing possible charges of third- and fifth-degree assault, according to Sherwin.
