The Austin Literacy Team will host its annual family event from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 7 at the Austin Public Library.

The free event will feature music with the MacPhail Center for Music, Jim Jayes Magic, characters from the Matchbox Children’s Theatre production of “Charlie and Chocolate Factory,” face painting, crafts, free books, glittering volcanoes, chocolate play dough activities, giant lollipop creations, golden tickets, storytelling and more.

The event is designed for the entire family and all are invited.
