Eugene “Geno” Dale Domino, 77, of Adams, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Mayo Clinic Hospital, Saint Marys Campus-Rochester.
Geno was born on Feb. 14, 1941, in Austin, Minnesota, to Dale “Rex” and Agnes (Adams) Domino. He graduated from Southland High School in 1958. He married Karen (Kunze) Domino in 1963. They later divorced. He worked at the grain elevator in Adams before becoming a Mower County deputy sheriff. Following the Sheriff’s Office, he worked for Hormel and LCL Transit, who transferred him to Green Bay, Wisconsin, in 1979. He resided there for 18 years. He owned a bar, “Dads,” for many years before returning to Minnesota. He worked as the manager at the Cedar River Country Club for several years, and then mowed the greens up until his health started failing two years ago.
Golf was a big part of Geno’s life; he enjoyed every minute he spent at the golf course. He was an avid Minnesota Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves fan. He enjoyed listening to music, with Elvis being his all time favorite. He loved spending time with family and friends.
Geno is survived by his mother, Agnes Domino, Adams; daughters, Gina Arens, Austin, Lisa (Wayne) Madson, Austin, and Lorie Henricks, Arizona; grandchildren, Jordan Arens, Ashlee Arens, Zachary (Molly) Madson, Justin Domino, Tyler Domino, Alexis Domino, Morgan Henricks and Jacob Henricks; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, David Dale Domino; brothers, David Paul Domino, Rex “Rusty” Domino, and Glenn Domino; sister, Colleen; and father, Dale “Rex” Domino.
Geno donated his body to Mayo Clinic for research and studies. Please join us from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at the Cedar River Country Club in Adams for a celebration of life. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
