Clean-up
April Clean Up is fast approaching.
With the recent snow event we are hoping that better weather is ahead for you to get your group together to pick up one of the many city green spaces in Austin. Bags and gloves will be available for you to pick up in our office the week of April 16 with cleaning to kick off on the weekend of April 21 through April 30.
Celebrate Earth Day on April 22 by showing a little love in your favorite green space. The garbage bags of trash you collect can be left beside a trail or in a visible space in a park for our crews to collect and dispose of. Thank you very much for great community support shown for this program.
Arbor Day
Arbor Day is Friday, April 27 and May is Arbor Month.
Spruce Up Austin will partner with Austin Park & Recreation to plant a tree along the Tree Trek on East Side Lake and doing some spring maintenance as well. Spruce Up Austin will host another guided Tree Trek Tour, 5:30-7 p.m. on May 9. This is a great way to spend time as a family learning about the different varieties of trees along the Tree Trek and proper planting techniques.
It may spark you to plant a tree in your yard too.Meet by the East Side Lake Gazebo.
