Spring brings the first trip of the travel season

As robins start to make their appearance and the tulips following close behind, we know that spring is on its way.
We too are anxious to make our appearance as we look to get on the road again.
Our first outing is the US Bank Stadium Tour, the newest home for the Minnesota Vikings, on Tuesday, April 17, with another date for the same tour added on May 8.
We will be leaving the Walmart parking lot at 7:30 a.m. for our mid-morning tour in Minneapolis. This guided tour will take us to the inner workings along with a viewing of the VIP rooms, history, locker rooms and much more.
Afterwards we will visit the Mall of America for a lunch and its newest attraction “Fly over America,” showing us America as you’ve never seen before.
There are still some spaces available on the May 8 motorcoach.
Keep in mind the public is open to join us on these tours.

This particular trip generated a lot of interest after we returned, so you have a chance to see for yourself. It’s about carousels and horses. This ranch home has several buildings which includes a guided tour by the owner as he shares his displays of carousels. We are talking about shelves displaying over 450, five to six-inch tall carousels.
The calliopes he has collected are in beautiful condition, each with different music and nostalgic sounds. The displays are inside of a decorated area and there is minimal walking. Our special dinner is served in the dining room. Following the dinner a horse training demonstration outdoors teaches young children to ride. It’s a unique and special horse farm set-up.Some seats are available. We will be departing at 8 a.m. This would make for a nice children’s trip with mom or grandma.
A reminder, boat cruise travelers will meet at 3:30 p.m. on May 23. We also have plans for a Hawaii trip and Scandinavian trip in 2019.
