Chambers was arrested on July 9 after an officer, who was searching for Chambers on a warrant, spotted his vehicle in the parking lot of the Western Manor Apartments. Chambers attempted to flee the officer on foot and tripped. The officer saw Chambers throw something that was in his pocket as he was getting up. After Chambers was arrested, the officer found the thrown object, which was a plastic bag that contained approximately eight ounces of cocaine.

A review of Chambers’ criminal record shows prior convictions for first and third-degree drug sales.
