Police are seeking two, 14-year-old juvenile males from Austin, one of whom matches the description of a local runaway, after they allegedly paid for a cab trip to Owatonna with fake bills.

According to Austin Police Chief Brian Krueger, a driver with AB Taxi and Shuttle Service called police at 1:36 a.m. on Wednesday to report that two individuals he had given a ride to Owatonna had paid with two fake $50 bills.

The driver reported he had picked the juveniles up at the McDonalds on West Oakland Avenue and they gave him the bills in advance. He dropped them off at a parking lot in Owatonna and noticed the bills were fake on the way back to Austin.
