Best Bets: Off and running for Pacelli Shamrockin’ Run held this weekend

Pacelli Catholic Schools will host its fourth annual Shamrockin’ 5K and 1 Mile Runs this weekend. The races, which help raise funds for the schools, are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Pacelli.
The event was originally scheduled for April 7, but was postponed to April 14.
The race times will be posted online and awards will be given to the top three finishers in the male and female categories immediately following the conclusion of the races.
B&J Bar and Grill will host a post-race party. Participants will be given one free beverage if they provide a racing BIB.
Registration costs $35 for adults, $25 for youth/students ages 18 and under, or $100 for a family of three or more in the same household. Registration forms are available at the Pacelli High School Office (311 Fourth St. NW) or online at www.pacellischools.org. Please make checks payable to Pacelli Boosters. Registration packets will be available for pick-up from 4:30-6 p.m. at Pacelli High School or at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday before the race.

• Annual Austinaires Show – “Dance the Night Away,” 7 p.m. at Christgau Hall, Austin High School. Show includes the Austinaires and Choralaires ensembles. Tickets available at Hy-Vee Foods and the AHS cashier for $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are $1 more at the door.
