Roger Allen Pump, 71

Roger Allen Pump, 71, of Hartselle, Alabama, died on April 10,2018, at the University of Alabama Hospital.
Roger was born on June 16,1946, in Austin, Minnesota, and graduated from Pacelli High School in 1964. In his adult life, he lived in several states and worked in transportation. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his garden. Roger was a very friendly man who “never met a stranger” and always had a smile on his face. He retired in Hartselle with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnette Pump; a daughter, Shanna Nichols from Hemet, California; a son, Cody from Hartselle; three grandchildren, Natalie Dove, Melanie Nichols, and Glenn Christian; one great-grandchild, Kayden; three sisters, Betty Osmonson from Austin,Teddy (Tom) Muyres from Fleming Island, Florida, and Patty (Duane) Anderson from Champlin, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Margaret Pump; two sisters, Beverly Jean Pump and Mary Lou Hubbard; and a son-in-law, William Nichols.
Roger chose to donate his body to science and The Science Care Organization is planting a tree in Colorado in honor of Roger.
