Jeremie James Myers, 30, of Ostrander was charged on Tuesday in Mower County District Court with felony third-degree sale of a narcotic.

According to the court complaint, a confidential informant contacted a Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office investigator on Feb. 6 about arranging a methamphetamine purchase from Myers, which he believed might take place in Ostrander. The investigator contacted law enforcement in Mower and Houston counties and briefed them on the purchase should it take place in their respective jurisdictions.

The informant was given buy money and met Myers at a residence in the 100 block of West Second Street in Ostrander, according to the complaint. They drove to a residence in the 25000 block of 795th Avenue in Frankford Township, where Myers allegedly sold the informant 9.24 grams of methamphetamine, then drove back to Ostrander. Law enforcement monitored the vehicle while they were in it.

Myers was arrested on Monday when law enforcement agents went to his residence to speak with him about the sale, according to the complaint. Myers denied selling the drugs.

A review of Myers’s criminal record shows prior convictions for obstructing the legal process and theft.

Myers will appear in court again on May 7.
