The 8th annual Strides for a Cure Race

The eighth annual Strides for a Cure Race will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, at Todd Park in Austin.

This running or walking event is sponsored by the Austin High School Youth Leadership group, and all proceeds benefit The Hormel Institute for breast cancer research.

The race is open to all ages, with registration costs ranging from $10 (for ages 8 and under) to $25 (for adults), which includes a race T-shirt.

The early registration deadline is Friday, April 27, but people can register up to the morning of the walk at Todd Park.

Organizers encourage everyone to come out and participate in memory or honor of those affected by cancer in their lives.
